10/29/2011 - FACELIFT and others destroy The Highline Ballroom - Celebrating Halloween in NYC is simply something everyone must do at least once. Because even before the actual day, there are always GREAT events going on, sites to see and killer shows. We gotta thank Keith from Schism for organizing this "Mensa Meeting" of Tribute Bands. We always have a great show with the Schism guys, No Code and Battle of LA. The THOR kids were scary good, if you missed 'em,

Titans of Tribute 50 is FACELIFT's 5th (or 6th maybe??) appearance in this venerated concert series. We're always honored to be a part of them and always have a blast. The staff at the Highline was TOP NOTCH - from the incredibly helpful and nice sound crew to the abundant food and beer hospitality. We really felt like Rockstars in this respected venue!

Gotta thank all the fans and friends: Julia, Dar, Kay, Amy, Clarke, TRoz, Dano, Richie Burch - all the photographers: Amy, Dar and Christine (click Pictures on the right)- and the always incredible FACELIFT tech crew: Dean and Eric!

Next show up is at Ollie's Point on LI on November 18th, so we better see all the LI Chainiacs out in force. This could also possibly be the last FACELIFT show of 2011, so DO NOT MISS THIS!!

10/23/2011 - FACELIFT rocks the foundations at Dingbatz - Another killer night at Dingbatz... Something about us at that room, just always kicks a$$! A great night that featured some solid openers including our friends and neighbors from Get Your Wings - The Aerosmith Show.

Jersey has always been the unofficial "HOME" of FACELIFT. We pretty much started playing the real rooms in Jersey (back in the day) and that led to our continually bigger shows in NYC, LI, CT and beyond! Thanks to DonnaMae and Sarge at Dingbatz. We brought our good friends Charlie Sabin to handle vocal duties while Brendan continues to recover and we had Scott Heller filling in on bass for Gian, who is our resident hunter. Both guys stepped up and killed it - a real pleasure!

Next show is at Highline Ballroom, on Friday October 28th.
The Titans of Tribute 50 featuring us, Schism (Tool), No Code (Pearl Jam) and Battle of LA (Rage Against The Machine). Just heard they added a FREE early show - THOR doing the best of Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, starting at 6! Buy a ticket for THOR and get into ToT for FREE!! That's 5 bands for $20! Or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to see if he has any discount tickets left. We're supposed to hit around 10PM, so make a night of it!! See you all there. - Tony

10/7/2011 - FACELIFT is joined by Charlie Sabin @ The Chance Theatre - FACELIFT welcomed Charlie Sabin back to rock the microphone for the band. While Brendan recovers from a vocal chord strain, the next few FACELIFT shows will feature Charlie Sabin (Attention Deficit Society) on vocals. For those of you that have been with FACELIFT for a while, Charlie was the singer in the band back in 2001. So he was a no-brainer to fill in for Brendan.

It's always great to play The Chance - close to home for Suppa and I and an amazing historic venue. Gotta thank the sound crew for the top notch job. Of course huge thanks to some of the fans who showed: Karen, Amy, George, Andy and all the upstate Chainiacs. Big thanks to John The Tigman for promoting and pushing this show!

Next show up is at Dingbatz, on Saturday October 22nd. This will be a very special night: Charlie on vocals and Scott Heller (from Monkey Wrench) filling in on Bass while Gian enjoys the opening of hunting season. And our good friends Get Your Wings doing the Aerosmith show will be opening the evening, so be sure to get there early! Check out the PICTURES section for the latest pictures from the show, thanks Amy!

8/8/2011 - "Double Update" Ollie's Point/Dingbatz - Well people have been asking for quite a while for us to make it out to Long Island to give them their AIC fix and we finally made it! Thank you to Ollies Point for being such great hosts and making us feel so welcome. As always, we saw plenty of familiar faces and met a bunch of new ones as well. The band appreciates all the positive feedback we got after we played the show and we strive to continually improve on things.

We followed up our first Long Island show in quite a while with a trip back to one of our favorite North Jersey spots, Dingbatz in Clifton. It's always a blast to play there and the crowd is always enthusiastic and energetic. Dancin Larry made an appearance and joined the boys on stage for his rendition of "Angry Chair" There is a reason that they don't call him "Singing Larry"!! Many fans down in front were singing along to every word, and there was even one drunk girl in attendance that was singing every single song, just not any song we were performing! Brendan would like to especially thank the girl front and center who was doing the middle eastern genie dance during "What the hell Have I" He rarely forgets lyrics, but at least this time he had an excuse for the distraction. D-lite who has been hiding under a rock for quite some time also made the scene and then proceeded to fall down three stairs and land on concrete. Hopefully by now she has stopped bleeding and the scars wont be too severe.

If you are looking for something to do on Sept 23rd. FACELIFT will be playing a big outdoor charity gig for 101.5 WPDH in Wappingers Falls NY for a great cause, Juvenile diabetes. That is a Friday night and that is also Bike night and there will be a ton of cool custom bikes there that will be judged. So if you have a bike, bring it down! There is also an upcoming date at the chance in Poughkeepsie but that date is yet to be determined, so stay tuned! - Brendan

6/22/2011 - FACELIFT mourns the passing of a fan - We have to acknowledge the passing of a fan and member of the FACELIFT family, John Michael Unden. He was Tony's nephew and was a big supporter of the band. Only 27 years old, he passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 14th. A good kid with a big heart and even bigger smile. The outpouring of sympathy has touched the family and Tony and Amy are very greatful.

John in happier times with his cousin Cheryl, Dancin' Larry and Elisa at the FACELIFT show @ The Fillmore East:

5/11/2011 - Larry's BDay and update!!! - We had an awesome time celebrating the awesome Dancin' Larry's Birthday, hope he enjoyed the cake ;) Special thanks to Amy for the delicious cake!

Gotta thank all the faithful - Craig, Ana, Rose, Karen, Leo, Tony, Bridget, Elesa, Bob and anyone else I may have missed!

Thanks to Sarge for rockin' the sound and DonnaMae and the rest of the 'Batz staff for the hospitality, we'll see you all back soon! Big UPS to Dean for the tech work too!!

At the moment, we are working on a number of show dates and as soon as anything is definite you'll see it here and on our Facebook page too.

- Tony T.

3/15/2011 - ‘ELLO PITTSBURGH!!! - For some of us this was our first official FACELIFT Road trip and it was a blast! We could make a full blurb out of the one liners from this trip!

This show was of course a bit bittersweet for all us especially Mike Suppa having just lost a great musician and friend in Mike Starr. So we decided to do this show in memory of Mike and played tunes exclusively from his era with AIC. I met Mike just about 2 years earlier when he came to one of our shows, like so many other people will tell you, he was a genuinely nice and funny guy, I even had the honor of having him pump out a few classic tunes on my bass. R.I.P Brother you will be missed by many….

Back to the show, we rolled (slowly) into Pittsburgh; you gotta love Saint Patty’s day parades in big cities! The Altar Bar has to be one of the coolest venues I have ever played at, an old church converted into a Chaotic Cathedral of loud ear crushing music! First up was our good friends Battle of LA to get the crowd into a “Rage”, followed by PennTerra - those guys did Dimebag and the boyz some serious justice. We got to take the stage and pump out all the great Starr Era AIC tunes to an extremely appreciative, loud, sing along to every note crowd and that’s music to our ears… there truly is no better feeling then having you all sing every word and screaming for more. Following us was another great tribute to TOOL from St. Louis; Opiate, and then PA’s own TEN the Pearl Jam Tribute who were having a reunion of the original lineup, we’ve played with them before and if you like PJ and are in PA make sure you check em out.
We’d like to thank Brian Drusky from Drusky Entertainment, the staff at the Altar bar and especially Sticks for doing an amazing job on the sound. Extra Special thanks go out to Dean AKA “Peter Grant” for all the planning, driving, managing and just having to put up with 5 of us in a confined space for 8 hours straight 2 days in a row. Of course I will have to thank my better half for lending us her “Baby” to get us there and back.

Next up Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ on April 16th, to celebrate the world famous Dancin’ Larry’s birthday along with Spiral,a just added Tool tibute.

L8R All,
G

3/12/2011 - IMPORTANT Show Update!! - Due to the untimely passing of Mike Starr and his memorial service planned for Sunday, March 20th, FACELIFT will not be performing at The Mercury Lounge on Saturday, March 19th. Members of FACELIFT have been asked by the family of Mike Starr to attend and participate in the remembrance of Mike Starr's life and music.Although the band would have liked to perform as an homage to Mike's legacy, we simply can't be in two places at once and apologize to our fans and the Rocks Off staff for the inconvenience. If anyone is stuck with tickets for this show, we do apologize and will honor your tickets for free admission to either of our upcoming Dingbatz shows (April 16th or June 18th). We appreciate the outpouring of love and support since Mike's passing!

3/10/2011 - Sad day in Rock & Roll... - I'll let Suppa and John Kosco do the talking as they put this all so well:

Mike - "There are no words for the feelings we all share right now. There are no winners and no bright sides to a story that ends in such tragedy. Mike Starr will be deeply missed-a Rock-N-Roll icon, brother, son, idol and of course a dear friend. I've share many,MANY, happy fun loving good times, music and memories with him over the years. Please pray for him and his family. Thank you all for your support!"

John Kosco (Saint Caine) - "Again, I only knew Mike Starr from the LA Jams and the invites to support him while filming some of the show. We shared a few moments of real conversation and for a moment I felt his incredible pain. To me Mikes story was his legendary sound in his legendary band, that not only heavily inspired myself but most of the rock scene after. I had hoped of course that after my short visits he would continue his focus on sobriety. He was a child like person who had a very sweet heart and once again my thoughts are with his friends and his family."

Rest in peace good friend, you will be missed...

3/7/2011 - Double trouble in Westchester!!!. - Well since Gian worked his tail off putting this together, we'll let him do the honors:
"By Special request by my lovely better half both FACELIFT & NO KLEW invaded Barney McNabb’ s in Westchester on February 26th to celebrate Darcelle’s “Not So 40th” Birthday Bash, and what a celebration it was. I will speak freely for TT here when I say nothing is more enjoyable than the “Double Duty” gigs with FACELIFT & NO KLEW, and I’m pretty sure the crowd agreed!
The Birthday Girls’s limo arrived, the slide show started, the smoke machine kicked in and NO KLEW went at it pounding out the best you can get when it comes to Rock & Metal Covers, to get your head banging and the girls dancing. The Jager was flowing as well as I believe Purple Motherbleeeeeeeeps! NO KLEW finished up the first set with a couple of special songs for the birthday girl.
Ready to rock the stage with FACELIFT, we had a slight interruption as I got the surprise of getting married a second time and renewing my vows, right then and there!!! A warm thanks to Tommy Murray for performing the ceremony.
FACELIFT took over the reins and gave the Westchester “Chainiacs” something they have been waiting for! The Ultimate Alice In Chains Experience!!! It’s been over 2 years since we played in Westchester and the warm welcome back was greatly appreciated. We even threw in an added bonus for your listening pleasure by introducing the newest member Jeff Hardee on the Drums, anyone who was there will surely tell you short of having Kinney beating the skins Jeff nailed it.
A very special thanks and shout out to Kathy, Jen, Jen, Elaina who traveled in from Port Jeff to help celebrate, as well as Kay, Julia, Amy, Betty, Tana, Trisha, Tommy, Patrick, Theresa, Ted, Craig, Eileen, Darren & Julia, Tambi, Tony, Maria V & Tony V, Evil Ed, Kenny B and everyone else who I may missed that help make this special night even better.
A very special & personal thanks to my band mates in both Bands for helping me pull this together, being somewhat close to the guest of honor she was extremely Happy & Grateful to all of you!
Next Stop The Altar in Pittsburgh on March 12th! Too Far you say? No Problem we’ll be back in Manhattan on March 19th at the Mercury Lounge, Discount Tix on sale now, just hit us up on FB or our website for more info."

2/17/2011 - Big FACELIFT News and show update!. - I'm sure you all have been wondering why things are so quiet in FACELIFT-Land. Well, we've been quite busy and have a lot to tell you all about.

First of all, we need all the Chainiacs to give a warm welcome to the new drummer for FACELIFT, Jeff Hardee. Jeff comes to FACELIFT highly recommended from a number of Jersey based bands. His smooth style and hard hits will make you wonder if he's Sean Kinney's long lost brother! The band has been hard at work with Jeff to nail down the current set list as well as the long overdue task of expanding our potential song list - send in any requests! Be sure to give Jeff a HUGE welcome into the fold at one of our upcoming shows or friend him through our Facebook page!

Check out the newly updated SHOWS page for all the latest FACELIFT show dates. Upcoming gigs include: NYC, NJ & Pennsylvania!

Next show up is a really special one, we'll be celebrating the birthday of one of our biggest fans (and Gian's better half) Darcelle. Gian and Tony will be doing double duty for the night starting off with a full set of Classic Rock/Metal with No Klew and then FACELIFT will come out to rock your face off. Be there to wish Dar a Happy Birthday and to welcome Jeff to the scene for his first show with FACELIFT. This is a very RARE Westchester show, so we expect to see all the Westchester Chainiacs out in force!

1/7/2011 - Bowery Ballroom Blast & 2011 News... - The first, slightly belated update of 2011 comes from Brendan:

Happy New Year folks! The boys want to wish everyone health, happiness and prosperity, along with lots of FACELIFT shows in 2011.

We finished out 2010 on a good note, and a brawl! The sold out show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on Dec 18th was a great ending to a sketchy year for us.

As most of you already know, I joined as the new singer not too long ago and had some pretty big shoes to fill. Everyone in the band had a lot going on since this lineup change and we have not been playing nearly as much as we would like to. Well all that is going to change for the New Year and we are chugging full steam ahead to get out to see everyone who is emailing us requests to come and play in their area. Hopefully this will include some of the requests that have come from somewhat far away. So continue to suggest places to play in your hometown and we will do our best to get there!

Anyway, back to the show at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan.....it was a good night, "the best in a long time", and the capacity crowd was bursting with energy. So full of energy actually that the floor erupted into a drunken fight that left one fan out of commission with a leg broken in two places that required surgery to fix, OUCH......everyone in the band wishes him a speedy recovery.

At this show we saw a ton of old faithful fans, some who came from very far away, and we also met countless new ones as well. The crowd was singing along to every word, sometimes so loud that we could easily hear it on stage. A few fans took pictures and video of us that night and emailed it to us, that is always welcome! So if you have something good, send it over! And for everyone that came up to us after the show to tell us how much they enjoyed it, Thank you! We appreciate hearing that, and that kind of enthusiasm only fires us up to play harder next time.

Big things are in the works for 2011, so stay tuned.....and as always we will be striving to bring you the best AIC experience possible. Don't forget to hit us up on Facebook as that is always a good place to stay on top of shows and happenings. You can also check out the latest videos and pics from the shows you may have missed.

See ya out there!
