12/9/06 - NYC Year End Blowout!! - WOW, Wow, wowwie, wow, wow!! What an absolutely crazy night!!! The Lion's Den is seriously one of the best rooms we've played in. Great PA and great staff! Add in the fact that it's in the heart of Greenwich Village makes it a total winner! We had a great night, took some requests, tried to calm down the mosh pit and rocked the snot outta that packed place!! Maybe because it was our last show of the year, maybe because the PA was kickin', maybe a little of the Christmas spirit in the air- but we did everything we could to kick it up a notch. OK, we gotta thank: Dancin' Larry, Greg, Bill & Scott from Bill's Garage, Will, Pete, Drew, Mike from HeadBangerNYC, Eddie, Kenny, Charlie, Arlene, Cristine, Joy, Lauren, Jasmine from Excuse Me, Tommy for joining us on a few tunes. Also mad props to Brian and his crew to making us feel really comfortable and being able to rock at the top of our game. Check out some pics HERE - Amy and Dancin' Larry took a TON of pics!! We're lining up our 2007 shows at this very moment. As soon as everything is solid it will be posted here FIRST!! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone - thanks for an amazing year, and we look forward to rocking you all in 2007!

12/6/06 - Remembering Randy - Hard to believe Randy Rhoads would have been 50 years old today. We miss you brother!!

11/20/06 - Fun Times in Florida!! - What an amazing (and equally exhausting) weekend!! This was our first road trip to Florida and it was truly an event!! I really wish we had a film crew along to document the insanity. Mainly because of the alcohol induced haze were in all weekend, but also because it would have been pretty damn funny. The 4 (Mike, Tony, Bobby & Tommy) of us got to the Hotel in New Port Richey on Friday and immediately headed out for a practice session at a local rehersal/recording studio called Colorama Music Studios. There we met Les and his wife Carol, they run the place - and WHAT a place it is!! Les had some great equipment including some gorgeous guitars that had Bobby D drooling, a KILLER sounding drum kit, as well as one of those new high end Bose PA systems - the one that looks like a tetherball pole. He also had a "lounge" area with couches and a big screen TV with a PS2 hooked up!! Oh yeah, did I mention he had a FULL BAR too!?!?! So after a few hours of shaking off the cobwebs, we sat down with Les for a few cocktails and to talk. A fun time was had by all! If you ever find you need some rehersal space in the Hudson, FL area - this is the place!! From there we figured we'd go check out Bourbon Street, so after bidding a fond farewell to Les, we headed out in our rented Suzuki SUV. When we got to Bourbon Street, Tampa rockers Lyxx were tearing the place up. So we chilled, were only mildly obnoxious, drank more and hung out to check out the PA and other "facilities" at the club. Nice BIG room with a HUGE stage, high ceilings and a killer PA. The drum riser was a work of modern technology setup to hide the typically messy spaghetti of microphone cables - very nice! At one point I stumbled back to the hotel and the other 3 ended up at Denny's.

Saturday we spent the day enjoying the beautiful Florida weather and just resting up for the impending night of lunacy! We got to the club at 6 sharp for our sound check, and by 7 ran through 2 or 3 tunes. After a little more "R&R" back at the hotel we went back to the club to rock! And we were just in time to catch Fort Lauderdale's own One Red Wall - these guys knocked out some real catchy originals that fell somewhere between Stone Temple Pilots and Jane's Addiction - with a little Sex Pistols attitude sprinkled in. And although we weren't using our regular equipment and backline, Bill and Scott got us setup and feeling real comfortable. From there we proceeded to blow the roof off the place and show the Floridians how to rock HARD!!! We blazed through a 100+ minute set of ALL the best AIC and at the end of the night the fans wanted more!! But due to local regulations we HAD to stop when we did. (Hey Jerry, Sean & Mike... how come you guys didn't hit the Tampa area on tour?!?!?!)

Sunday the mayhem continued as we all had different flight times out of Tampa. Jimmy had an 8AM (!!!!!) flight to be back in NY to coach his daughter's Finals soccer game. Mike, Bobby & Tommy were all together on a 4PM flight and I had the late (8:30) flight. I also had the EXTREME pleasure of going to see the Tampa Bay Bucaneers whoop up on the Washington Redskins. Thanks to my sister Caroline, her hubby Christopher and good friend Jimmy for the tickets and tailgating hospitality. And the bonus of getting to hang out with my nieces just topped an already amazing weekend!

There are so many people to thank that I know I'm gonna miss a few, but here goes... First and foremost, gotta thank our beloved brother Tommy Frustieri for filling in on the drums - you're a good friend and an awesome drummer and it was a blast hanging out with you!! Tommy also got the best tan out of all of us! Gotta thank the following people for some truly "Southern Hospitality": Luan at The HoJo's in Tampa, Betty at the Ramada Inn in New Port Richey, Les & Carol (again) at Colorama, the whole crew at Smith's Cafe, John at Beef O'Brady's. We also have to send mega-props to BIll & Scott who were working the PA and handling all the equipment and drums for the evening - you guys TOTALLY made this work and we could not have done it without you!! You made us look real good (well "sound" actually, we already look good) and we really appreciate the extra effort you guys put in. Thanks to Rich from Maximum Bands for the booking and handling all the details, it was a real pleasure for us and we look forward to working with you again in the near future! Now I gotta thank the fans - Caroline, Christopher, Mike Matero (old school FACELIFT friend who came all the way from his new home in Daytona!!), Terry, Dee, Lauren as well as all the other new fans we made down there. Make sure you tell all your friends about us and bring them the next time we come down there!!

There will be pics up soon - I gotta get them all together - from practice, the hotel, sound check, the show - I have pics, my bro-in-law has some, Bobby took some, a few fans (Dee??!!) were snapping away and we all got a few pics on our cell phones too. So check them out HERE soon.

The next date up is December 8th at The Lion's Den in NYC. This will be our first show in NY in over 4 months and (unfortunately) our last for 2006, but we've already got dates in 2007 that will be posted real soon. But do not miss this Lion's Den show on the 8th - we'll be playing with a Rage Against The Machine tribute, a Tool tribute and a Metallica tribute. The Lion's Den is one of the best live rock venues in NYC - PERIOD!! The room is nice and big and the beers are nice and cold! Not to mention there are some incredible restaurants nearby, and with all the fun holiday events around the city, it will really make for a nice night out!!

10/4/06 - Benefit update & FACELIFT in Florida!! - Unfortunately Jimmy's recovery is taking much longer than expected and FACELIFT will not be able to play at The American Cancer Society Benefit show this weekend at Vintage. All of us in the band are terribly sorry but we hope you'll still go out to support this tremendous show for a great cause. We did donate a great gift that will still be raffled off during the evening so don't miss it. Thanks to Declan at Vintage and Joy (Chandra's Limit singer), the event's coordinators for their understanding.
And that's right!! Florida, we're coming down to ROCK you all and leave behind a smoldering pile of rubble!! On Saturday, November 18th we'll be playing Club Bourbon Street in New Port Richey just north of the Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater area. We're really excited for the opportunity to play in Florida and for the die hard Alice In Chains fans we know are there. Tickets will be available through TicketAlternative. So we better see all the Floridian FACELIFT Fans out in force!! Also keep checking back for more local show updates. Were working on dates in Connecticut, upstate NY and back out on LI too!!! In the meantime, don't forget to be at Vintage on October 7th for the "Songs For Hope" benefit show for The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. The band lineup inlcudes: Chandra's Limit, No Klew and Allman Bros. tribute The Brothers Of The Road Band. "The Brothers" should kick off around 9:30, but get there early, have a nice dinner and check out an acoustic act or 2. Also, there will be raffles all night long for swag, CDs and dinner @ Vintage!

9/8/06 - Schedule Changes and Jimmy Update. - Jimmy recently had surgery to fix an ongoing problem with an abdominal hernia. Although the surgery was a success and Jimmy's back home resting, his Doctors have extended his recovery time until the end of September. Which unfortunately means we have had to postpone our upcoming shows at Dingbatz (9/22) and Cook's (9/23). I have to send HUGE thanks out to Sue at Dingbatz and Mark at Cook's for being so understanding during this difficult time. These are AWESOME clubs and we WILL be back real soon. For now, our next show will be the American Cancer Society Benefit at Vintage in White Plains, NY. This show will be INCREDIBLE!!! Starting the evening will be 2 acoustic sets - 1 from Tia (aka The Devil Is She) and another from 1/2 of Chandra's Limit - Joy and Tony. Then the real magic will begin!! My good friends The Brothers Of The Road Band will kick off the night with the 2nd Best Allman Brothers show on earth! After that the order is still up in the air, but the bands featured will be Chandra's Limit, No Klew and of course FACELIFT!! This show will mark Jimmy's return to the Mic. All the proceeds will go to The American Cancer Society and there will be special guests, raffles and giveaways. So do NOT miss this show!!!!

8/22/06 - Thinking of Layne today... - We miss you brotha'! - FACELIFT "...and We Die Young, Faster We Run"

8/6/06 - A TOTALLY Alice In Chains Weekend!! - If you missed any of the shows this weekend... you missed 3 tremendous shows that won't be back around for a while! We kicked off the weekend early on Thursday Night at Bedrock (aka Lefty's - don't know why LI Clubs do that!?!??) And although the club is still undergoing some cosmetic changes we managed to have a great night with our amazing fans on Long Island. The opener, Milk, was an interesting cross of Led Zeppelin and Pantera. We followed with an extra long set of all the hits as well as some some of our usual "b-sides". Thanks to Bill and Scott from "Bill's Garage" (Where was Walter?), Arlene (Drew?? Where are you?!?!!) and Keith for rocking the skins on Man In The Box. Then Friday night was the Alice In Chains show at Starland. The band keeps getting stronger and gelling with William DuVall and left the crowd breathless! Then on Saturday, just up in Hoboken, NJ at The Whiskey Bar, in the shadow of the magnificent NYC skyline, we played with 3 of the top tributes in the area! Great room, and the PA was solid! Starting the night was No Code, doing the best of Pearl Jam and getting the crowd nice and warmed up. We followed with a set of only AIC gems! Monkey Wrench followed us and proceeded to tear the place up with all the Foo-tastic jams! Then.... (drumroll) was A Perfect Tool. These guys totally SMOKE and are NOT to be missed. And I'm not just saying that because we're friends with them, Eddie and the guys absolutely KILLED! Gotta thank Arlene (again!), Dancin Larry, Greg, Lauren, Melissa, Patricia, Robin, Rose, Gayle, Debbie, Pete, Will, Jenn, Kenny and all the Monkey Wrench, No Code and A Perfect Tool fans that made the night such an amazing experience!! Click HERE for some pics from the show - THANX WILL!!! We're going to be off for a while so that Jimmy can take care of a medical problem, nothing serious, but I'm sure he'd appreciate any well wishes - post them on the the Guestbook! But we'll be back STRONG at Dingbatz in Clifton on September 22nd. So enjoy the rest of the summer and we'll see you all soon!

7/18/06 - New Shows & Venues Added! - We hope everyone is having an awesome summer and staying cool (remember to drink plenty of fluids!!! Wacka- Wacka-Wacka!!). Even though we are off for the month of July we've all been really busy booking FACELIFT shows and having fun with some of our other projects. FACELIFT will be back STRONG in August starting on Long Island at Bedrock on Thursday (YES Thursday - this place gets PACKED!!) August 3rd. Then on Saturday the 5th we're at Whiskey Bar in Hoboken, NJ with our good friends in A Perfect Tool, Monkey Wrench and No Code. This will be an AWESOME night of great rock and really great way to cap the "AIC" weekend. September finds us back in Jersey @ Dingbatz on the 22nd and then up to CT @ Cooks on the 23rd. In October 7th we've already booked an American Cancer Society Benefit show at Vintage in White Plains - 8 Bands - 1 Great Cause. Some of the featured bands include: Chandra's Limit, Sukker Punch, A Perfect Tool, No Klew and many more!! Also, don't forget we've all got other projects going on as well. Suppa is busy recording his first solo album and is getting some help from a few of his more "well known" friends - can't let the cat out of the bag yet, but keep checking back for updates! Chandra's Limit will keep me (Tony) quite busy through August with 3 shows in the NY Area. Bobby's efforts with Direct Drive and Cerberus and his wedding band will also keep him very busy the rest of the summer. Jimmy's enjoying the downtime with his family but check out his other band, Red Rooster and check them out at a club near you soon! Louie (who didn't make his annual trek to Italy this year) has been sort of MIA, but he is ALWAYS up to something - sometimes just hanging out at a local show or he can also be found jamming with just about any given band on any given night in the White Plains area!

6/21/06 - Bedrock show cancelled!!! - Well it's been a while since the cruel finger of fate has wagged it's gnarly nail at the FACELIFT boys. But today (at a very late hour) we got the news that the Bedrock club wasn't ready and didn't have the proper permits to open. So, we're off for a few weeks in the meantime consider the following:

This Friday June 16th I'm (Tony) playing with my new band Chandra's Limit (Female fronted hard rock covers) at Big Mike's in Pelham, NY 914-738-2177

Then on Saturday the 17th, Jimmy's band Red Rooster (rock & classic covers) is playing Parrot Bay in Stony Point 845-429-6180.

Check back soon for more dates in NJ, NYC, LI & Upstate!

6/17/06 - A Hot Night in The City!! - Hooo-weee it was so HOT in NYC! Normally you get a nice breeze blowing between the buildings or up the avenues - NOTHIN' - the air was still and heavy! And even though we were sweating before we hit the stage it was a great show. The Lion's Den is just one of those great New York City rooms: Big room, good sound, cold beer and TINY bathrooms! Seriously though we had a great time and really enjoy playing at The 'Den. And as usual Brian and his crew did an amazing job on the PA and helping us get setup. Of course it's always a pleasure to have our bro' Tommy in the house joining us for a few tunes. Also, thanks to Will for the awesome pics from the show. So check out the PICS page now! We also just posted his pics from our Dublin Pub show last week! Gotta thank all the usual suspects - Dancin' Larry, Greg, Arlene (aka Catwoman), Christine, Nicole, Pete, Charlie, Drew, and special thanks to Mikey from www.headbangernyc.com (get on his "Blast List" for the latest NYC shows and music news!) - thanks for all your support Bro! Also, recently I had the chance to check out my friend Gregory's new Allman Brothers tribute The Brothers Of The Road Band - and was BLOWN AWAY! These guys really have the groove and the spirit of the Allmans. Check out a pic of Gregory & I in Misc Pics! If you're into the Allmans you won't be disappointed! Our next (and 5th on the month!) show is this Thursday (yes, Thursday!) at Bedrock in Lindenhurst, NY. We'll be there doing 2 long sets, so make sure you're there early!!

6/12/06 - Dublin Double Tribute Night! - We always have a blast on LI - the crowds are always great and really know how to rock! Starting off the night were our good buddies in Monkey Wrench. It's really been inspiring to watch these guys grow as a band. Make sure you check these guys out if you like the Foos, they will not disappoint! Huge thanks to everyone who came out - Drew, Dave, Hector, Lindsay, Will (where are the pics??) and all the other crazy fans who made the night such a success! Also BIG thanks to Scott from Monkey Wrench who joined us for a few tunes!! We'll see everyone this Friday at The Lion's Den! Get there early because were not sure who's going on first!

6/5/06 - Double-header Hangover! - WHEW! These "double-header" weekends are killers~! But what a blast - a bit of a soggy blast, but a blast just the same! Friday night started off with a BANG with Long Gone Day kicking off the night. They were followed up by our brothaz in ZO2, if you haven't caught these guys you're missing a hot show! These guys have opened up for Poison and KISS and know how to play - plus the ladies LOVE them!!! Gotta thank Sarge for doing a great job on the sound! Of course gotta thank the usual suspects: Dancin' Larry, Greg, Deirdre, Randy, Lauren, Nicole, Wayne and my old college friends Dave & Jill - always great to see you kids! Sue & Freddy were the usual "Hosts With The Most". We will be back in mid-September, so keep checking back! Although Friday was gonna be tough to top, we headed into Dudley's determined to rock the place into the water!! And it was a great night - the weather held off, it was kind of cool out - just a great night for some Alice & Alcohol! Huge props to Bobby D & Jimmy for taking care of the sound - it's not easy playing and doing the sound! A lot of people to thank from Saturday too - starting with my bandmates from Chandra's Limit, Joy & Jim - Joy joined us for Man In The Box, unfortunately Jim's a "lefty" and couldn't rock out on Tommy's kit, but come out to one of Chandra's Limit's shows to check him out in action! Also gotta thank Dancin' Larry and Greg for making out to BOTH nights of our double header! Of course this post wouln't be complete with out thanking our "Brotha From Anotha Motha" Tommy Frustieri for filling in for Lou. Lou had to take off the weekend for a much needed toe nail fungus treatment - but no worries, the Doctors have said his stinky, sweaty feet are ready to go for next Friday June 9th, at Dublin Pub. Don't miss this show!! We'll be splitting the bill with Monkey Wrench - the nation's ONLY Foo Fighter's tribute!

6/1/06 - Suppa hangs with Jerry & the boys in NYC (w/pics)! - Here's the scoop straight from Suppa's mouth:

Hey man, no offense, Im just tired of typing out the details to all you who have emailed me. First off , I'd like to say thanks for your continued support. It means a ton to me and my band. Real quick,AIC was great. It was good to see the guys and hang with them for a while. Jerry allowed me to play all of his guitars including 5 rampages, 1 tele, and his Degredation Trip custom Gibson Les paul where he burned the leopard spots on it with a "crack torch". I took one of my guitars down to the gig at Jerry's request because he is interested in purchasing it and he wanted to check it out. Well, he used the same guitar for 6 songs and really digs it. We are trying to find a happy medium and Jerry will take it off my hands when he gets back from Portugal(Europe ect) tour. Thats about it, got to jam, oh yeah, I want to thank his guitar tech. Jerry and him went over a ton of trade secrets which I was sworn to secrecy lol.....thats what helps to keep my sound sort of close to his. I was suprised of a few NEW "trade"secrets, especially because they changed so dramatically since the last time I jammed with them. Bunch of great guys. I will tell you that I refused a trade of one of Jerry's black studio les pauls for my axe. Thats about it man. cant really print NO MO! Some of it just has to remain a secret !

Ok, you wanted them, a few have been put up. These pictures are of me with some of Jerry Cantrell's guitars at the most recent NYC gig. Jerry, is the leading talent of ALICE IN CHAINS....According to him, no one has ever played on his guitars with the exception of his guitar techs. The guitar pics were taken by Jerry-I think..............

5/17/06 - Updates in PICS, LINKS & SHOWS! - Just wanted to let everyone know about some of the updates on the website. Dawnie just sent us her awesome pics from Cook's, make sure you check them out HERE. She also posted more of her pics at SnapFish, there's a link on the Cook's page. I also added some new links for our other projects as well as some of our good friends. Also, we found out we'll be playing The Dublin Pub on June 9th with our good pals in Monkey Wrench. But there are other show updates in the works, so check back often. Be sure to check out all the new updates and we'll see you all real soon @ Dingbatz on Friday, June 2nd!

5/15/06 - Great Music, Great Night & A Great Cause! - What an amazing display of heart! Simply an awesome night filled with fun, food, love & giving. Monkey Wrench got things kicked off right with a rousing set of the 'Best of Foo'. It's always good to see Danny, Scott, Matt & Jimi rock the house. Then ZO2 took the stage and proceeded to DESTROY!!! Paulie, Dave & Joey have more energy than ConEd and were devastating! They'll be opening for us at our next show - Dingbatz on Friday, June 2nd so make sure you're there early for them. Then we took the stage for a whirlwind set of all the best 'Chains. Slippery When Wet followed us and finished the night up with a great set of harder Bon Jovi tunes. Between sets, each member of the bands were presented with plaques commemorating their efforts towards the success of the evenings events. Paul from Southern Shift did a more than capable job on a troublesome PA he was unfamiliar with. Ralph & Bobby were tremendously gracious hosts and did an amazing job putting this show together. Gotta thank everyone who was there and who purchased the special T-Shirts Suppa had made up. This cause is one that hits close to home for members of FACELIFT and we sincerely thank each and every single person who was there or who donated money, food, services or anything else. Not one effort, no matter how big or small, went unnoticed by us or The Blue Knights or Officer James Colon.

4/30/06 - Rollin' back in to Cook's!! - It's been WAY too long since we've been in Naugatuck, but the same great room and vibe was still there. Mark and his staff keep the club running like a top and trust me, that is so rare to see! I have to give great big ultrasonic thanks to my Branson friends: Kathy, Isabel, Diane, Sylvia, Susan, Krystyna (and her cousin Yannick), Chris, Noel and Roy. Also gotta thank Bryan (my MCSE Instructor and a monster guitar player!) & Liz, Eddie & Kenny and of course the amazing Dawnie Rotten - click here for some of her awesome pics from that night along with some of our own. HUUUUUGE thanks for Mark for a great job on the PA and making us sound great! We're working on getting back in there by the end of the summer, so keep checking back! Our next show is The 1st Annual Cinco De Mayo Party Friday May 12th 8PM in Paterson, NJ at the Blue Knights MC Club House to benefit Englewood Cliffs, NJ Police Officer James Colon who is fighting leukemia. We'll be there with Slippery When Wet doing a killer Bon Jovi set, Monkey Wrench bringing all the Foo Fighters mayhem and we just added (!!!) our buds, ZO2. A $20 donation gets you food, beer and all the bands and more beer! For more info call Bobby @ 201-788-0052 or Ralph at (973) 725-4142. Do what you can to make this show, it's a great cause for someone who keeps us all safe everyday.

4/15/06 - Rockin' Double D's! - We haven't been to Morristown in a long time and it was total mayhem - just like always!! Buck3eighty was in top form and were totally amazing on "that Joan Baez song"! LOL! Be sure to check them out at www.buck3eighty.com. We were also celebrating Dancin' Larry's Birthday - last I heard, he was STILL sleeping it off!! Joining us for the party was Lorraine, Eddie (from A Perfect Tool), Kenny, Pat, NJ Rocker, Randy (sans The MSBs) and Jenny. Thanks to Sue & Jeff for their tremendous hospitality - always good to see "The King Hippie". There are a few PICS here. Next show coming up is in 2 weeks back in Connecticut - April 29th at Cook's in Naugatuck. We'll be doing 2 long sets and hope to see Dawnie and the rest of the Cook's crew as well as maybe some of our Mass. Friends! Also of note: I have joined Chandra's Limit as Guitarist and maybe I'll sing a few tunes too. I am honored to join Joy, Jim & Pat! Check the website for upcoming gigs and info. Obviously, there will be no impact to FACELIFT's schedule. I'm not the only one in another band - Bobby is in at least 2 other bands including Direct Drive and Cerberus and Jimmy has been playing with Red Rooster for a while too. Come on out and support all of our projects!!

4/10/06 - BACK! In The New York Groove!! - "Hey Ah-nah-nah" Rockin hard in The Big (Rotten) Apple! (Just a little pun there) We LOVE playing NYC and can't believe all of you guys stayed there until like 3 in the morning!!! This Modern Rock Tribute Cult... I mean Clique thing is turning out to be pretty awesome!! Basket Case continues thier climb up the ranks as one of the areas top tributes doing the best of Green Day. Excuse Me was amazing as usual too - Nicole, Jasmine, Jay, Jim and Jaclyn really bring the No Doubt experience and are a lot of fun to watch! Danny, Scott, Jimi & Matt of Monkey Wrench were full of manic Foo energy and had a rock solid set that included a rare B-Side or 2. Gotta thank our friends Dancin' Larry, Greg, Dave, MIkey @ HeadBangerNYC, Lorraine & Nancy, Will, Steve, Nelson, Mike, Drew, John, Arlene, Cheryl (Sheryl?), Paulie Z (totally rockin' on Deuce) and David Z of ZO2. Big thanks to the Lion's Den Staff - Brian and his crew did a fantasic job on the sound - THANKS! There are some PICS courtesy of Will. Next show is on "Good Friday"... We'll be at Double D's on Friday 4/14 with our very good friends Buck3Eighty. So make sure you get there early to check those guys out - also you may want to stop in and visit with the "ladies" on the other side too. Apparently the "girly" side is closing at the end of the month! It's also our good friend Dancin' Larry's Birthday, so buy the man a beer or a shot or a lapdance!!!

4/3/06 - Victor's Recap: The Friends, The Heat & The Cops!!! - I always love a show close to home, and this was no exception!! After working out the PA kinks from our last show at Victor's we were armed and ready to rock the place hard! Of course the tremendous crowd got us all pumped up and it was great to see some good friends - Drew (my ex-roomy & a first class Scuma!) & Meg, Mario and the rest of my AXE boys, Carmella, Dancin' Larry, Joy & Jim from Chandra's Limit - we made some new friends too: Gene, Bridgette, Dawn and the girls that were gonna go see Snappahead but came to see us instead!! But with all the people in there and the recent weather change it was ROASTING hot in Victor's before we even started. Of course once we started then the temperature really shot up!!! So Mike figured he'd open the window next to where he was setup - ahhhhhhh, nice Spring breeze blowing across us while were playing - it was messing up the guitar tunings a little but... About 20 minutes later the police showed up, but they were totally cool and just asked that we close the windows. So it was back to the"schvitz"! There are also some pictures right HERE!! And in case you didn't notice we're MAD busy this month! Next week is Show#2 in the "Modern Rock Tribute Clique" series. 4 KILLER tributes - one stage - one night! This Saturday, April 8th at The Loin's Den in NYC featuring Excuse Me (No Doubt), Basket Case (Green Day), Monkey Wrench (Foo Fighters) and FACELIFT of course! Get there early because we're not saying who goes on first!! Hard to believe we lost Layne 4 years ago - R.I.P. we miss you brother.

3/11/06 - AIC in AC News! - Just getting home from a loooooooooooong day and night with a bunch of crazy Alice In Chains fans!! First off, of course, about the show. Although it was way too short, the guys were real tight and they all looked and sounded great!! Although Sean with that beard looked a little ragged. But all of them were on fire and had a lot of energy. Oh yeah, and Duff McKagan (GnR, Velvet Revolver) played rhythm guitar (psst Hey Jerry!! You guys need a rhythm guitar player who is VERY familiar with the material???) Anyway, who sang you ask??? Well... anyone who caught Jerry on his Deg Trip tour knows the band Comes With The Fall. Their singer, Will Duvall, was the main singer and capably filled some pretty big shoes. But one of the big surprises of the night was Phil Anselmo (Pantera,Down,Super Joint Ritual) He looked good too, and sounded nearly perfect on Would? and Them Bones!! You could tell he just really enjoyed singing those songs for Layne. The REALLY cool part was that apparently there were technical difficulties during Would and MITB (I think - too many Jack & Cokes!) so they played them again!!! That was just too cool and the crowd totally ate it up! At the end, in a move that surely elicited some tears, they dedicated the show to Layne and Dimebag. I always been a Heart fan from way back to the "Barricuda" days. Ann still has the one of the greatest female voices in Rock! And I have a real weak spot for Nancy - something about a hot blonde that's an awesome guitar player!! There were a bunch of special guests with them - including Dave Navarro and Rufus Wainwright (????). But the personal highlight was Jerry, Sean and Mike (of course) doing Barricuda with the ladies - and it was amazing! After the show we hung out WAY too late with a bunch of friends like Dancin' Larry, Greg, Drew (without the "upfront crew! LOL!) Lorraine, Arlene and Eddie and Mike from A Perfect Tool. We also met some new ones - the folks from Michigan that drove over 18 hours to AC and had to endure a rental car breakdown!! And the lunatics from Ohio who want to personally pay to have FACELIFT come out there and play!!!! We had a great time with everyone and enjoyed a truly magical evening!! REMINDER: Next show is April 1st at Victor's in Hawthorne, NY - we'll see you all there!

3/4/06 - Mega-Tribute Bash @ Dublin's - Last night for us wasn't even like work! It was just a fun night of hanging out with some friends and playing some music. Seriously, it was a complete blast and the night just flew by. All 3 of the other bands we played with were top notch!! First up was Excuse Me (for some reason I kept calling them "No Excuses") doing their celebration of No Doubt. Nicole does a killer Gwen and the rest of the band is real tight! They did a fantasitic job of "breaking the ice"!! Next up was Basket Case, the newly formed Green Day tribute. After a few technical difficulties (not their fault!) they put on a really energy charged show. Up next was Monkey Wrench - the nations ONLY Foo Fighters tribute. We've played with these guys before, and if you've ever seen them, you know and the Foo Fighters know they do not disappoint. All of these bands are worth checking out on thier own - so go to their websites and see them soon!! Our set also just flew by, but it was great to see everyone still so pumped up after 3 killer bands. I know there were "shutterbugs" there - e-mail those pics to info@faceliftlive.com. Gotta thank Dave (we're gonna take over WLIE with you one night soon!!), Drew (and the entire"Up Front Crew"), Donna, Arlene, Nicole, Nicole (a different one!), Donna, Christine and anyone else I may have forgotten! The lineup for the April 8th show at The Lion's Den may not be the same, so make sure you get there early so you don't miss anything. Next show coming up is Saturday, April 1st (no kidding!) at Victor's in Hawthorne, NY (Westchester) - cool little room and we've done some work to fix the "audio difficulties" from the last time. We'll be doing 2 long sets and it's really easy to get to off the Saw Mill Parkway.

2/19/06 - Another crazy night in Jersey! (UPDATE!) - Jersey is always SO good to us!! But D*MN it was coooooooollllllllllldddd!!!! Of course once we got started the heat really cranked up!! Gotta thank the usual suspects: Dancin' Larry, Greg, Lorraine, Anthony, Randy, The MSBs - Erika, Sherry & Deirdre and openers Blow Up Daisy. Also gotta thank Freddy and Ann for their tremendous hospitality. Sarge for the KILLER sound. Got a few pics from the show - check them out HERE. We should be back at 'Batz in May sometime. Meanwhile the next show on March 3rd is going to be HUGE!!! They're gonna have to blow out a wall in the Dublin Pub for all this!! 4 Tributes: FACELIFT (of course!), Monkey Wrench (Foo Fighters), Basket Case (Green Day) and Excuse Me (No Doubt) - plus special "mini-Acoustic" sets between sets by all the other bands... you know what I mean!! We'll see you then!! UPDATE - Just added audio of "What The Hell Have I?" from the show on the "Sounds" page - check it out HYAH! THANKS SARGE!!

2/5/06 - Super Bowl "Warm-up" at Foogans! - It's been a while since we've been in Rockland, but WOW what a great time!! Again, we got to really stretch out and play some different stuff - plus some requests. We even squeezed in (most of) a few covers - I know we were teasing on a few of them. But Jimmy just nails that AC/DC stuff and the Ramble On was a lot of fun for us too. Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did. Gotta thank Kevin from Red Rooster for joining us on Man In The Box on the Bass (guitar not the ale) - more on Red Rooster in a minute. The staff at Foogans (sorry I had it spelled wrong before) was outstanding - the beers were flowing and the burgers were excellent! Next week (2/11) Jimmy (and Kevin) will be at Foogans again with Red Rooster - they do a mix of new and classic covers, and with Jimmy singing - how can you go wrong?? Also gotta thank a different Kevin for the beer, Debbie, Gail and The New York State Trooper at Route 304 & 9W last night at around 3:20am... that's all I'm sayin' .... In 2 weeks (2/18) we're back in NJ to kick some major a$$ at Dingbatz. If you miss the (old) Wreck Room, you gotta come to 'Batz. The room is great, good people, good PA and very reasonably priced drinks... aaannnnddd The MSBs!!! We've got a lot of shows being added to the March, April & May schedule so keep checking back to the site often!! ...gotta say it, Go Seahawks!!!!

1/29/06 - Starting '06 right @ Dudley's!! - What a way to start the New Year!!! Dudley's is ALWAYS an awesome night and the crowd is always amazing!! Plus it's close to home for us, and the guys at Dudley's treat us GREAT! We got to do 2 long sets and were really able to stretch out and play all your favorites and some more obscure tunes. And it's always a pleasure to have Tommy come up and jam a few tunes with us. Of course always great to see our friends Traci, Dancin' Larry (Go Rangers!), Greg, Billy & Brian. And HUGE props go out to Joy (aka Butterfly) for kicking the spit out of Man In The Box!! Not too many ladies can handle that song - make sure to check her out with Chandra's Limit. I put up a few pics, but these are a little different. Decided to try and catch some "sound check/hanging out" pics....and hey how about that "KISS" goodnight?????
